The LHS Chorale participated at the Region X UIL Vocal Concert & SightReading Contest on April 6 at Sterling HS in Baytown. With 3 varsity choirs entered, we had an extremely long day. The Treble Varsity received a 1st division rating for Concert and a 2nd division rating for Sight Reading. Both Mixed and Tenor-Bass varsity choirs received a 2nd division rating in Concert and Sight Reading.

The LJS Performing Choir participated at the Region X Middle School/Jr. High UIL Vocal Concert & SightReading contest on April 16 at Horace Mann Jr. High in Beaumont. All three choirs, (Mixed, Treble and Tenor-Bass) received a 1st division rating in both Concert and Sight Reading. This is called a "Sweepstakes" rating and is the highest that can be awarded.
