UIL Solo and Ensemble contest will be held at Lee High School in Baytown this year. Scheduled for February 8 and 9, the Chorale will be entering three Medium Ensembles; Mixed, Treble and Tenor-Bass. Several small ensembles (trios, quartets and madrigals) are in the planning stage. More information will follow.

The LJH Performing Choir participated in UIL Solo and Ensemble at Vidor High School on January 25th. The 43 young people who attended participated in 3 Medium ensembles, 2 Madrigals and 5 Small ensembles. First Division ratings were awarded for a total of 126 medals.

These young people began working toward this competition in January after returning from Christmas break. They have made tremendous progress as they begin to prepare for UIL Concert and Sight Reading contest in April.
